As far as I can tell, this is the only design in Compact besides Monticello that does not add an illustration to one of the squares on the monthly calendar page. This allows me to write in Sunday dates in the right-hand column, and keep my weekends together on the page. I wish this was true for more of the designs; I would like to try Leadership one of these years if the months were similarly configurable.

The paper is somewhat thicker than the 2012 Monticello, rather like what I remember of Cornerstone in previous years. So this feels like a return to higher quality.

This is the first time I've bought one of the illustrated designs. Last year I was interested in Seasons, but the summer desert photograph just looked too hot to see in my planner for three months. For 2013, the winter has a snowy landscape with trees, the spring a field of poppies, the summer a sunny field of grass, and the fall a forest with leaves changing color. All of these show around the edges of the page, and behind a white background in the writing areas. I'll have to see whether I like writing onto poppies all spring, but the rest are fairly subtle, and I'm looking forward to a bit of color.

Other than the illustrations and a legible sans-serif font, the layout is fairly similar to Monticello, including the quotation on the right-hand page. There is one more line in the Daily Tracker area, the same number of lines for tasks and daily notes, and the written appointment times end at 7:00pm but still leave four more lines to write in evening plans. (In future years, I hope FC will move the appointment schedule up on the page so the scheduled times can go until 8:00, or 9:00 like Monticello.)

Not the Seasons of Old

Ladies, before you order the 2011 Seasons, be forewarned that this new redesign is very masculine compared to the Seasons I knew back in the day. I was looking for something feminine but less flowery than Blooms. So, I ordered the Seasons and found it a very masculine feel. Also, another thing about the 2011 Seasons that really bothered me was that during the hottest months of the year June-July-August, they used the Grand Canyon picure which has alot of red and orange tones which made me feel hot just looking at it, and I'm looking at it now, in December! The tabs are red too, and since I am a very visual person, I just know it would be too "hot" for me to handle during the summer months. I ended up returning it.

On my last order I received the incorrect replacement pages. Somewhere along the line of my reorder, my plan pages July-June the order was changed to Jan-Dec. Again I have been using this planner for more years than I like to admit- I always buy the same plan schedule of July -June on my reorder - If this information was stored, I wouldn't have received the incorrect plan pages.

I have been using the Franklin Covey close to Twenty-five years. My Initial Introduction was when I was enrolled in a Training Session by my Department Head. At that time, I was thinking, "Oh No! Why am I being Scheduled for this Training Program?" (Boy, was I impressed, and HOOKED!) I retired Thirteen years later, and I continue to use my Franklin Covey on a Daily Basis!

This year I can say that I was very Pleased with the Design. I ordered "SEASONS", the July 2017 - June 2018 Compact Ring-Bound (two pages per Day) Daily Planner.

I also like having the Address/Telephone Directory as part of the Unit.
