Lost in cyberspace? A quick glance at this sleek date box will immediately reconnect you with the real world. Adjust the day, month and date by moving screen-printed plywood tiles. Slim enough for a tight workspace, a narrow shelf or bedside table. Plywood construction.
I was sick, and missed the return window, or this one would have gone back.
Some of the days and numbers are printed unevenly: some go uphhill, downhill, or they are not centered in the window. Yes, you can still tell the date with this sloppy construction. But for the price I paid, I expect a product that doesn't look like it was constructed by a toddler. A final note about the appearance: days of the week and numbers are in bold, but the months are in normal typeface, for whatever reason.
Having discussed the appearance, how does the item function? It's almost impossible to change the tiles - you have to keep all the tiles from falling out at once when you're trying to change one section (for example, days). Good luck with that. The day, month, and dates rows don't match in size, either. So the manufacturer has included multiple little slips of cardboard to make everything fit in the holder. It doesn't work, but does make changing the date much harder. As if dealing with all the wooden pieces wasn't frustrating enough, those cardboard pieces make everything truly maddening. You can't throw the cardboard pieces away either, or the wood pieces rattle around.
It's really a shame, because this item looked so nice online.
