I had my Franklin-Covey (tan) planner stolen the other day. It was on the front seat of my car and the person probably thought it was a notebook computer. Anyway, I was lost without my planner so I tried to order online. The website would not accept my email so then I called. The planner with strap closure showed a brown color at that time and that is what I ordered. Today when I got my refill and planner, it was black. I am too tired to return it. Now all that shows online is black. The customer service person should have told me this in the first place as I clearly told him brown. I am disappointed by the customer service with Franklin Covey as it seems to have gone way down hill.

Even though I am an iPhone user, I still prefer to have a paper calendar. This binder allows me to keep a calendar without as much paper waste since I am able to just do refills each year.

You have to understand that I have had the same Franklin Covey green leather binder for the last 15 years, and it has been used everyday at work and in retirement. It had 1 3/4" rings, heavy duty quality construction, beautiful leather. Magnet closure. It had room for 3 months of pages with plenty of room for other tabs. I would still be using it today if one of the ring openers had not broken. When I went to order a new binder, the only binder close to mine at the time was the one I purchased. The rings are flimsy. The leather is no where near the quality of my old one. The 1 3/8" size rings are too small for my uses. I looked at the other offerings, and they were all very disappointing. Franklin no longer offers the 1 3/4" size. This size is the only one missing in their binder offerings. So, I will throw my new binder in the drawer, continue to use my old one, and hope that next year Franklin Covey will offer a quality 1 3/4" binder I can purchase.

I have used many planners through the years. Construction on this seems solid. Design is heavily flawed. The pockets in the front create a great deal of thickness. They are not very useful. If the pockets were not so thick, I could easily include two or possibly three more months of daily pages. Pockets also make the surface soft and uneven so that it is difficult to write on top of them. Had I actually seen this in a store rather than purchase on line, I would not have purchased this binder. It feels like I am carrying a binder rather than the pages inside of it.

I use the product to take notes and actions for business. I customize by recording notes by subject rather than chronological.

I found it difficult to get the binder to close and the pages to come completely over the rings until I salvaged the 2 hard plastic "pages" from my old binder. One in the very front and one in the very back. This solved the problem - you should include with the binder

Business card slots too loose- impossible to put card in without bending/ruining. Leather nice but too pliable- had to return it and keep my old one which is very worn but still with better quality.
