I like the wire bound concept a lot. Carrying the traditional ring binder system is just too much. I like how this system is light weight, easy to carry. You still get all the great benefits of the two-page layout; definitely my preference. The two-pages allows you plenty of room for all your to do's, appointments, and notes.

It would be nice if the offered this in some other styles or colors. Something neutral in style, like leadership quotes with a little color. Something that works for men or women.

Some of the other reviewers commented on a 3-month binding. That's an interesting concept. Not sure how I would feel about that one. I like the transportability of the 1 month binding a lot. Plus you have the full month supplement you can use for longer range planning.

Former ring-bound users beware...

This review refers to the pocket size wire-bound daily planner in the Metropolitan design.

Each month is its own wire-bound booklet with the 2 pages per day as expected. The problem here though is there is no 2 page monthly calendar for the month within that booklet. Those 2 page monthly calendars do exist as a *separate* booklet for the entire year. That separate booklet is thicker & has larger circumference wire rings. It's larger because half of its pages are taken by the instructions, mission statements, goal planning, etc. So if you want to have any 2 page calendar months, that entire booklet needs to be used.

You can't have the 2 page daily booklet for the month *and* the monthly calendar booklet in the same binder, as the pages will not lay flat (they rest on the other booklet's wire rings) so it's impossible to write on the pages.

This may not be an issue for some, but with the ring-bound version, one can have the 2-page monthly calendar for an overview of the entire month along with the corresponding daily planner pages. Also, I always kept the next 2 months' 2-page calendars after the daily pages for future planning. This simply isn't possible here without having the two books separate. I ordered this because the pocket ring-bound refills were out, and I love the Metropolitan's design (it used to be available as ring-bound many moons ago). However the loss of functionality is too hard a pill to swallow for me personally. I'll be returning this to be replaced with the standard pocket ring-bound refill as it's available.

I have tried many sizes and configurations. I am going back to try the wire bound as it is less bulky. Wish they would offer daily wire bound in a three month. Also holes for three ring binder.

It is not too thick to carry like the binder is, but it is only for one month at a time. I wish they would make quarterly wire-bound too. Its pricey too.

I really like this calendar as I can have all my information in one place. I primarily use this calendar for work. The only thing I wish would be changed is the fact that I wish all the monthly calendars could be combined into one calendar much like big yearly calendar is. I feel this would make the monthly calendar information easier to locate if it all was in one calendar that was sectioned off into the individual months.

Either I didn't read the description properly or it wasn't clear but I didn't realise that what I purchased was 12 individual binders (one for each month) plus a monthly planner plus address book. I was actually just looking for one binder for the year.

The spiral bound format is lighter and easier for carrying, especially for travel, than the binder styles. I get the same organizational capabilities without the bulk and weight. It also takes up less space on my desk. For my purposes, it is a good choice.

I have used this planner for the past couple years. I like this design because it has 2 pages per day. I use the task list to checkoff daily tasks, the appointment schedule so I have meeting times available when I'm not near my computer and most helpful I use the daily notes to record what I did that day which is really helpful for when it's time to compile my accomplishments mid-year/year end. I carry this thing everywhere with me at work! I do wish there was an option in which you could put several months or a year in a binder while maintaining the individual wire bound books (add 3 hole punch holes?). This would be helpful for storing past years. I also wish they would include one extra plastic page marker. They don't tend to last a whole year for me after takin them in and out every day. Overall happy with the product.

As i was using the planner... Wednesday January 16th tunrned into Saturday February 16th. The date was correct, but the month and day were wrong until the problem corrected itself on Friday, January 25th. I was comletley confused and am concerned this error will occur again in one of the upcoming months.

I order the metropolitan planner every year and love it.individual month of jan had typho beginning jan 16.....could not use rest of month because poor quality control. In jan , feb 16th was next day after jan 15th!! Very unhappy and was too late to send that section back. Really disappointed this slipped by your quality control people. Have used Franklin system for over 15 yrs And was shocked this happened. This poor quality control does not instill confidence regarding future purchases of Franklin covey planner sets. Thank you. Suzanne
